I'm probably going to regret this...

  1. Hi Mika,
Thank you for sharing your speech. I love the background colour. I'm sorry you are sick. I think you did a wonderful job with your speech. I loved that you tried again, even though you made a mistake, that is an important part of learning. You should be proud of yourself and your efforts.

    1. Hi Mrs Spragg,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. When you were younger, did you have to read a speech to the whole school like we did? Last year my speech was about sugar.

    2. Hi Mika,

Yes I did have to do a speech to the whole school. We also did other things as well. Our school was involved in something called a 'convention'. This was a bunch of schools from around the South Island coming together to do different things in competition. I did a lot of speech making / memorising / poetry reading / drama. One year I almost won the trophy for my age group but sadly I was beaten by one other person, that was disappointing.

Sugar sounds like an interesting topic. I watched a great documentary about sugar, it put me off eating it for a while.

    3. Hi Mrs Spragg,

That is disappointing, this story reminds me of almost winning in the cross country, but Parwin won instead, it was a exciting experience for me though. Are we going to have a cross country this year and when?

Yes sugar was an interesting topic. And because of that I'm pretty sure that everyone was paying attention to my speech. Even though Brayden was covering his ears so he couldn't hear me.

  2. Your Mum and I are really proud of you. It shows how well you can do if you keep trying. Mrs Spragg is correct, a mistake is just a part the learning process. :-)

    1. Hi Dad,

Thanks for commenting. Remember Mia's play date. We are having one next Saturday. Nikita is sitting next to me right now.
