Today. . . my class just meet Jamie Duff. But to tell you the truth, I didn’t know him at all. And I didn’t know that he even existed. Oh, I forget I hadn’t introduce myself.
Hi my name is Mika in Yaldhurst Model school. My class was so excited. First we asked a few questions about him. My question was who inspired Jamie to be a racer.
He said his Dad inspired him. After All the questions were answered, we had a closer look at the racing car. Jamie duff said the engine costed 75,000 dollars! Imagine how much the other materials costed.
He also said the car had to be light so the car can be really fast, so they used titanium because it’s really light like plastic but very strong like it’s unbreakable.
This wasn’t the first famous person we met, we met Lesa carrington. And of course I knew her. Lets finish this blog post by seeing my class with Jamie Duff

Sailling
On Wednesday, week 2. Me and my class (Rimu) went sailing on our field trip. First we split up into groups. I was with Mia and Abby. First we worked together and got our boat ready. Then the teacher told us how to sail. I was a bit nervous but I tried anyway and it was a lot of fun. I almost fall out. But I was ok. This field trip was awesome! And cold. :) Hope you will like this slide and check out all of the cool photos.

Spaghetti Challenge
On the second week, me, Pawin, Billie, and Julia worked together to make the highest uncooked spaghetti tower and to join the spaghetti, we used… MARSHMALLOWS! And in the end the chocolate egg has to balins on the tower for at least 30 seconds. Anyway we started of great. But the marshmallows were really sticky. After some minutes the tower was getting taller… but it fell down. And there was only two minutes left, ONLY TWO! My group was panicking. I was panicking. We were all panicking! We just started building and we didn’t care what it looked like. In the end it looked sooo bad. It was like something you would find in a trash can. But luckily the kinder surprise chocolate egg balanced on our short and ugly tower. And…
What I learnt: I learnt to not panic. :D
